A Short Guide to Four Years.Go

The Pledge To change the course of history in the next four years, we MUST change the structure of institutions, we must get at the rules, the root structures that prevent an organisation from changing. (Those rules are intended to binding and strictly maintained, so it's a big job.) However, it's only when individuals have already changed that institutional change will be possible.

Four Years.Go. has developed a Personal Pledge that has four parts.
A) To share the Four Years.Go. message.
B) To make personal changes in your own lifestyle.
C) To become better informed about the issues mankind faces and the potential solutions available.
D) To find some particular objective that is meaningful to you that you can commit to changing in Four Years.

Four Years.Go. and sacred space. As a New Zealander, who is no longer a Christian, I've struggled a bit talking to Americans who clearly see that Four Years.Go. is part of their Christian outreach. Just before Christmas 2010, Radio New Zealand played a very interesting interview with Rev. Professor, Sir Lloyd Geering, now 92 years old, and still my favourite theologian. For me Geering explains exactly why I'm engaged with Four Years.Go. and perhaps why the same calling is heard by my Christian friends in the USA. According to Geering, the Greens, and organisations like Four Years.Go. and 10:10 and 350 Degrees and many others, are doing the work essential that Christian churches are neglecting.
