Overview of next steps being taken by the active teams

Many teams came out of the Gathering, all working on operationalizing FOUR YEARS. GO. And making sure it reaches every corner of the world. Here’s a quick view of them and what they’re up to:

Speakers Bureau Team: Marilyn Levin is the stand for assembling a team of advisors who can help help build a Four Years. Go Speakers Bureau. This bureau would consist of two tracks - one to empower anyone who wants to share information on Four Years. Go in any way they see fit, and another track for professional speakers who are capable of speaking to large and specialized audiences.

Transformation Team: We will be examining if the Transformation Team will continue and if so what our focus will be as a team.  Depending on the outcome, the Sufficiency Team (Nirvana Cable, Marilyn Levin, Jenn Cohen) will continue as a part of the transformation team or will stand on it’s own.

4YG Branding: The team has gathered, integrated, and sent our Brand discussion group info for final review included in this is specific languaging of our mission statement. Montgomery Norton has been the one to make this happen.

Funding: The team has been holding conference calls set up the development of a compelling prospectus, and a revenue development plan is under way. Deborah Stern has been driving this conversation, and Jon Love, Mark Bachelder, and Ray Murray are taking the prospectus to a qualified first draft.

Well Established Allies Team (WEAT): This team is being formed to focus on attracting and serving well established organizations of all kinds to join 4YGo as allies. We'll be looking for NGOs, corporations, institutions and organizations of any type who have large public profiles, easily recognized by people, worldwide. John Renesch is the stand for developing these key relationships.

Cavallo Point Team: Vince DiBianco will chair this team that started last week. They’ve created a page on Wiki. The emphasis of their work is to bring the four year context into the established business community.

Website Content Creation Team: They’ve been having weekly calls, and are planning to take responsibility for the different content channels for the website, very exciting stuff! Gary Horvitz is working with Ryan Anderson. Check out the website! It’s better now than it ever has been.

Social Media Team: This team is working with interns to boost the Online Communities: Facebook and Twitter mainly. It is an important part of interacting with our community. Katiyana Williams is our steadfast point person for this team.

Possible Futures Video Contest: As part of the Creative Media efforts, this will be one of our biggest events next year. We’ll be launching an open video contest for people to submit videos on how they think the world could look like in four years. Katiyana Williams is holding this priority, along with Pat Usner.

Source Document: This is conceived as grounding reference document, that clearly and succinctly lays out the foundational principles that define FourYears.Go. Larry Tackett is the person seeing that will come into being, at least in draft version, within a week or two.

Outcome and Metrics: We will be posting statements from several well-regarded experts about what we absolutely must accomplish within this four-year timeframe, and what we can measure that will show that humanity, as a global community, has shifted its most likely trajectory to a desirable future, from what currently almost certainly is an undesirable one. We will be inviting blog-participation on these issues, and plan to create engaging displays in the future that will show where we are on this trajectory.

Ensuring Appropriate Leadership & Organization: this team is focused on calling forth the leadership needed to have FOUR YEARS. GO. become an autonomous, fully funded, professionally staffed and well organized enterprise behind a real 4YG movement, with the intention being that the organization behind the movement will begin to work much more strategically in service of the whole purpose and mission of 4YG. Ray Murray is the champion voice for this structure coming into being.

The new Leadership Council: The Leadership Council has not yet been formed, hopefully soon. ? The team will provide a "Big Picture" overview document that can support the Transition Team and the new Leadership Council - including final Business Plan and info from all other buckets - but still waiting for relevant info to be able to complete this document. It will also include some specific guidance on "How to make 4YG a truly effective Enterprise, in service of a Global Movement"

Global Spread Team: We will continue to work finding new allies around the world – individuals and organizations. We are getting three time based groups running, America's, Asia/ Pacific and Europe/Africa. Team leader John S Veitch.

Global NGOs: Mark Dubois and John Veitch are co-creating this very active and well organized team. Mark Dubois’ stand is that we will have 2000 new allies withing a few months, and at least 500 of them well represented on our site, with their own webpage and statements of their commitments.

Outreach & Introduction Team: They plan a call for expanding membership in team and possibly bifurcating into two separate teams. Outreach is about bringing in new organizations and individuals; the Introduction function is hosting orientation phone calls for new allies on a regular basis (currently held by Jane Calbreath)

Business Plan: Gabi Dragomir will the deliver the initial draft of the Business Plan. This will allow us to move forward with greater structure and certainty, both for fundraising / revenue, and for being operational.

Cross-pollinators: A group is developing a dynamic collaboration between the Awakening the Dreamer , Changing the Dream community, and the Four Years. Go community, drawing together the work of both the Face-to-Face Gathering, and the ATD/CTD Facilitator Summit. Lynne Michelson and Gary Horvitz are holding this commitment.
