Alternatives to GDP

Check out the work already done by AnewNZ (Dave Breuer et al) on the genuine progress indicators as a possible replacement for the GDP. It seeks to messure genuine progress and looks at the health and well being of individuals within society and social networks. Now aint that a novel idea: that people really are the important phenomena rather than profit and loss.
